This cable is usually used to OUTPUT audio signals FROM a processor/pre-amplifier, such as those from: Arcam Xeta Carver C1000 Onkyo TX-DS989 Parasound P/SP1500 Rotel RSX965 processor Rotel RSP966 processor These processors feature a 25 pin DB25 chassis-mount plug (ie a 'male' socket, which has pins protruding from the connector on the equipment) and which outputs the multi-channel analogue audio signals via the DB25 male socket to go TO a 5/6 channel power amplifier.
